Cause: The Card Reader is currently
using the USB Virtual COM port driver. If you are using the COM Port
driver you will see the ID icon in the system tray of your machine. This
driver will redirect all of the card data to the virtual COM port that was
created on your computer. At this point you have to decide do you want
your card data to be sent to the COM port
or to the keyboard port.
Solution: If you want
card data to continue to go to the COM port you will need to re-configure your
credit card software to read the card data from the COM port. Otherwise,
simply unload the Virtual COM driver located in the system tray and this will
reset the output to keyboard mode. However, if you restart your computer
the driver may be loaded once again so it might behoove
you to uninstall the driver if you do not want Serial COM data.
