My card has more data on it than my software is expecting
Cause: The
Card Reader is sending more tracks of data than your software is
expecting.
Solution: Reconfigure the reader to either
disable or not send unnecessary tracks of data.
Steps: With your keyboard connected to the
card reader and using Windows notepad or
some other program you can type in, follow these steps:
-
<Left Ctrl>
<CapsLock> <Right Shift> <Backspace> This will display the prompt "Press F1-F10 for
options"
-
Now press the F2 key
and the reader will prompt "Enable Tracks: "
-
Press the right arrow
until the option displays the tracks that you are trying to read for example
track 1 only would read: "Enable Tracks: 1"
-
Now press and hold down
the following keys: <Left Ctrl> <Escape> and release both
keys. This will display the message "Setup Complete Changes
saved".
-
Test your card output
in Windows notepad, if this did not fix the issue then repeat Steps 1 through
4 but modify the tracks enabled.
