Cause: The Card Reader's Keyboard Country
setting does not match the computer's keyboard setup.
Solution: Set the Card Reader's Keyboard
Country to the same setting as the keyboard on your computer.
Steps: With your keyboard connected to the card
reader and using Windows notepad or
some other program you can type in follow these steps:

<Left Ctrl>
<CapsLock> <Right Shift> <Backspace> This will display the prompt "Press F1-F10 for
options"

Now press the F1 key and press the Down Arrow key
until the reader displays "Keyboard Country:"

Press the right arrow until the
option displays the proper keyboard country for your application

Now press and hold down
the following keys: <Left Ctrl> <Escape> and release both
keys. This will display the message "Setup Complete Changes
saved".

Test your card output in Windows notepad, if this did not fix
the issue then repeat Steps 1 through 4 but modify the keyboard country until you
get the one that you desire.

Cause : The Card Reader is transmitting numerics in an
Optimized fashion and your computer and software are having issues with this
method.
Solution: Set the Card Reader to transmit
numeric data as Main Keyboard Keys.
Steps: With your keyboard connected to the card
reader and using Windows notepad or
some other program you can type in follow these steps:

<Left Ctrl>
<CapsLock> <Right Shift> <Backspace> This will display the prompt "Press F1-F10 for
options"

Now press the F1 key
and then press the Down Arrow until the reader displays the
prompt "Send Numerics As:"

Press the right arrow
until the option displays the "MAIN KEYBOARD KEYS" option

Now press and hold down
the following keys: <Left Ctrl> <Escape> and release both
keys. This will display the message "Setup Complete Changes
saved".
