In order to output the card data
in this format you will need to set the Data Output mode to FIELD DATA under the
Interface settings. In the case of the USB Interface readers you will want
to download and run the Universal Programming software and choose F1 and set the
Data Output Mode.
In the case
of the PS/2 interface readers you will need to connect your keyboard to the card
reader. Enter setup mode by pressing the <Left Ctrl> <CapsLock>
<Right Shift> <Backspace> keys without pressing any other keys in between. At this point the reader
will prompt you to press the appropriate function key for setup. Press F1 and set the Data
Output Mode to FIELD DATA. Press <Ctrl> <Escape> to exit setup
mode and save changes.
Note: If you
require keystrokes before and after each of the Account Number, Name and
Expiration Date fields, you can use the Preamble and Postamble strings for
each field under F4 & F5 settings. Simply press the appropriate function key
use the down arrow keys to position to the proper Preamble or Postamble
string and type in the string.
