MAS 90

Sage MAS 90 ERP offers a broad selection of solutions, including accounting, financial reporting, distribution, manufacturing and e-business management. When attempting to use a credit card reader with MAS 90 you have to instruct the software to look for a Postamble from the credit card reader.  The postamble you key into the MAS 90 software must match the postamble configured in the reader. 

For example configure the MAS 90 software to look for the "CRDT" following the Track 1 data from the card reader.  This string will be used to indicate the data from Track 1.  Next follow the steps below for entering that information in the card reader:

PS/2 Interface

Steps: With your keyboard connected to the card reader and using Windows notepad or some other program you can type in follow these steps:

  1. <Left Ctrl> <CapsLock> <Right Shift> <Backspace>  This will display the prompt "Press F1-F10 for options"
  2. Now press the F5 and the reader will display "Magstripe Postamble:" 
  3. Press the <Down Arrow> key until you see "Track 1 Postamble:" 
  4. Type "CRDT" as the data for the Track 1 Postamble, be sure to leave the " marks out of the string.
  5. Now press and hold down the following keys: <Left Ctrl> <Escape> and release both keys.  This will display the message "Setup Complete Changes saved".

USB Interface

Steps: After downloading and installing the Universal Programmer software, you will want to run it and follow the steps below:

  1. When the programmer is loaded into memory it will load the default configuration and you will be presented with a screen that shows "Configuration currently at default!".  This is referring to the configuration that is currently loaded in memory on the computer but not the one in the reader.
  2. Press F5 to display the Postamble settings dialog.
  3. Move your mouse or use the <Tab> key to move the current input focus to "Track 1 Postamble" and key in the string "CRDT" without the " as the string.
  4. Click Ok to save the settings in memory.
  5. Either click on the Send MSR button or select the File Menu and choose Send Configuration.  The reader will beep and you will see a progress bar run across the window indicating that the configuration is being sent to the reader.
