IC Verify

The ICVERIFY® for Windows® software is a payment processing product that is available for merchants. Using a personal computer (PC) or PC-based electronic cash register (ECR), the ICVERIFY product processes all payment types, including credit, debit, check, purchase cards, private label cards, and stored value/gift cards.

ID Innovations card readers by default are configured to work with ICVERIFY without any changes. However, if for some reason your card reader has been configured to operate in a mode other than the default mode, you will need to reset the unit to defaults.  Follow the steps below to reset the unit to defaults:

PS/2 Interface

Steps: With your keyboard connected to the card reader and using Windows notepad or some other program you can type in, follow these steps:

  1. <Left Ctrl> <CapsLock> <Right Shift> <Backspace>  This will display the prompt "Press F1-F10 for options"
  2. Now press the F10 and the reader will display "Reset All Defaults: Yes" 
  3. Press the <Enter> key to reset unit. 
  4. Now press and hold down the following keys: <Left Ctrl> <Escape> and release both keys.  This will display the message "Setup Complete Changes saved".

USB Interface

Steps: After downloading and installing the Universal Programmer software, you will want to run it and follow the steps below:

  1. When the programmer is loaded into memory it will load the default configuration and you will be presented with a screen that shows "Configuration currently at default!".  This is referring to the configuration that is currently loaded in memory on the computer but not the one in the reader.
  2. Either click on the Send MSR button or select the File Menu and choose Send Configuration.  The reader will beep and you will see a progress bar run across the window indicating that the configuration is being sent to the reader.
